The Five Free Claude Code Setups

Most people run Claude Code exactly as it ships. These five free setups close the gap: ready-made skills, a methodology that stops it rushing to code, 276 vetted plugins, memory that carries forward, and 203 specialist agents. Every command, in order, about ten minutes.

It stops guessing

superpowers makes Claude work the spec out with you, plan it, then build test first with subagents reviewing. It is the difference between an assistant and a team, and it is one line to install.

It stops forgetting

claude-mem carries your sessions forward, so Claude remembers what you decided last week instead of starting cold every morning.

It stops improvising

17 ready-made skills from Anthropic plus 276 vetted plugins and 203 specialist agents. Real capability instead of Claude inventing an approach each time.

Questions

Do I need to be a developer?

No. Every setup here is a paste-one-line install inside Claude Code. If you can open a terminal and paste, you can do all five in about ten minutes.

Are these made by Anthropic?

Two of them are. The skills repo and the plugin marketplace are Anthropic's own. The other three are community projects by obra, thedotmack and wshobson. All five are public and open source, and all five are linked here so you can check them yourself.

Will these cost me anything later?

No. They are open source repos, not services. You still need your own Claude plan, but none of these five add a bill.
